A special thanks to David's mam who brought us in lovely conkers still in their shells. We used them to make hedgehogs. The shells made lovely prickly backs for the hedgehogs.

Maths Week
We had great fun celebrating Maths Week in Merlin Woods. We played loads of maths games amd used our maths eyes to do lovely maths art.

Our Famlilies
We love our families. All families are different but they are all very special. It doesn't matter if our family is big or small or who is in it we still love them lots. The children drew these pictures to show all the special people in their families.
Yellow Flag
We were the first school in Galway to get the yellow flag. It celebrates diversity. Last year we celebrated diversity by learning about all the diffetent countries where children are from in our school. We loved intercultural week. The minister of education and skills came down to our yellow flag ceremony.
We are Special
We have been learning how everyone is different and special in 1st Class. We made these lovely self portraits using oil pastels and paint.
Rugby
We are lucky to have Will in from Connacht Rughy in teaching us rugby skills. The boys and girls are loving it!
