Santa Claus comes to Merlin Woods.

We were so excited to meet Santa Claus and Jingle Bell on Friday. We sang him a song and he gave us treats.

Christmas Trees

We are very creative in 1st class. Do you like our Christmas trees we made from coloured paper?

Anti Bullying Week

We learned lots during Anti Bullying Week. We also entered a drawing competition where we had to illustrate what we had learned during the week. Thanks to Mùinteoir Claire who gave  lovely prizes to the children who won the art competition.

Eskimos

We learned all about eskimos and igloos! We turned into eskimos ourselves and had great fun designing our warm clothes.

Laptops

We started using laptops in 1st Class. We were so excited and had loads of fun playing phonics and language games.

Halloween

Maths Week

Thanks to all the parents who came in for maths week and played maths ganes with the children. The children had lots of fun!

Jersey Day

Colour Wheel Clocks!

We learned all about primary and secondary colours and experimented mixing these colours to make different colours. We created colour wheel clocks with our new colours.

Woods Walk

During Autumn we went to the woods to collect autumn leaves to use to create hedgehogs!
