Happy Christmas

Merry Christmas to everyone. Christmas time is a busy time in Merlin Woods. We have been learning our songs and we went to the church to practise for our performance. We have made lots of Christmas art also!

Winter

Winter is here. We have noticed how dark it is in the morning and how hard it is to get out of bed! We wear our hats and scarves to school now. We are still working hard in Junior Infants. Take a look at our beautiful snowmen.

Letters

We have started writing the letter a and c and all the children are trying their best at their cursive writing! Have a look at our great work.

Science Week

We had great fun during Science We loved all the experiments. 

Number 1

We started learning the number 1 this week."Start at the top and down we run, that's the way we make a one." We learnt the order of the numbers and played coubting games.

The Three Little Pigs

We have started a new story called "The Three Little Pigs". We learnt about different types of houses and we even made these houses.

Pigs

As we have been learning about the three little pigs we decided to make pigs in our art lesson. Do you like our pig masks?

Yoga

Junior infants started yoga this week. We really enjoyed learning new postures and movements!

Colour Strings Music

We are so lucky to have our very own colour strings music teacher! We have great fun learning about baby bear and mamma bear and learning new songs every Monday.

Halloween Dress up!

Well done to all the boys and girls who dressed up in wonderful costumes on our last day of school before midterm! We made spiders and even entered colouring competitions. We had a popcorn party and played halloween games. It was a great day.Have a safe and happy halloween everyone!
